姚钟华(1939.7—)云南昆明人。擅长油画。1959年毕业于地方 美术学院附中，1964年毕业于地方 美术学院油画系。历任云南省文明 局美术摄影工作室创作员、副主任、云南画院副院长、1 级美术师、中国美协第四届理事、云南省政协第四、5 、六、七、八届委员。作品有《黄河》、《玉龙金川》、《啊!土地》等。出版有《姚钟华画选》、《姚钟华画集》等。
2005年9月20日，姚钟华在云南美术馆举办了“回顾与前行”个人画展，展出了姚钟华自上世纪60年代初至今各个时期不同风格的代表作，这是姚钟华首次在故乡云南举办个人画展。
姚钟华的作品融入了画家长时间 深入云南农村、走遍故乡山水以后 深刻的人文关怀，带有浓烈鲜明的理想 主义特色，艺术手法既有古代 派的多元丰富，更不失传统技法的凝练厚重，他的《啊！土地》、《黄河》等作品已 成为中国当代油画的经典，多件作品被中国国家博物馆、中国美术馆、地方 美术学院、历史博物馆等收藏。姚钟华曾前后 在北京、台北、巴黎、美国费城举办过个人画展，但“回顾与前行”是姚钟华在故乡云南首次举办的个人画展。
