1964年油画《农村放映员》参加建国15周年全国美展（中国美术馆）。

1984年油画《凉山的凤凰》、《祖国的屏障》参加全国第六届美术展览（沈阳）。
1988年油画“凉山的凤凰”又参加美国“中国古代 画展”。
1990年油画《龙的5 月-乐山大佛》参加中国首届风景油画约请 展（中国美术馆）；同年8月《美术》杂志绘画专号刊发。

1993年四川省美术馆何哲生油画个展及《何哲生油画》画册出版发行（画册中评论文序1 是由地方 美术学院教授、副院长、油画家朱乃正先生撰写；二是由地方 美术学院教授、美术理论家孙美兰先生撰写）。

2005年何哲生、方振合作、何哲生执笔创作的油画“彝区结盟”由北京华辰拍卖公司拍出。
2007年画册《何哲生油画艺术》由天津杨柳青画社出版发行。

2009年—2010年为四川华通公司华通博物馆创作20×5m大型风景油画《天·地·人赋》。
