胡明之(1940.9—)江苏涟水人。擅长油画。1958年考入地方 美术学院附中，1965年解放军艺术学院毕业留校任教。历任沈阳军区歌舞团美术组长、中国美术家协会创作评论委员会秘书、征询 部副主任、研讨 部主任、办公室主任。作品有壁画《我们走向将来 》、《黄河女儿梳妆来》、油画《神圣的职责》、《雨后晨曦》等。有作品被收藏。曾策划完成1987年、1988年赴美国中国当代油画展，1991年关山月赴美国写生画展，1992年中国油画展，古元、力群、王琦三老赴美版画展及中南海紫光阁国务院陈设布置。编辑出版《新中国美术50年》等。
