王卓予，男，1 九二七年生。江东北 康人。擅雕塑。1951年毕业于地方 美术学院华东分院，分配在华东军政委员会文明 部艺术处工作。1953年在北京参加人民英雄纪念碑浮雕创作，1957年回母校雕塑系任教。1977年参加毛主席纪念堂雕塑创作。1979年参加中国雕塑家代表团赴意大利、法国考察。历任浙江美术学院雕塑系主任、教授，浙江省美协副主席、全国城市雕塑艺术委员会委员、浙江省雕塑家协会主席。是中国美术家协会会员。
次要 作品《潘天寿》（合作）、《赵伯先像》（合作）入选全国城市雕塑设计方案展；《春曲》入选首届全国城市雕塑作品展；《铁工》入选第1 届全国美术作品展；《拼搏者》、《陈毅像》入选第六届全国美术作品展；作品还有《红军过草地》、《夏日》、《李灿像》、《章太炎像》等；《拼搏者》和《春曲》曾获全国美展优秀作品奖等。1953年在北京参加《人民英雄纪念碑》“南昌起义”浮雕的创作、《毛主席纪念堂》群雕的创作。

王卓予先生是中国古代 著名雕塑家刘开渠先生的得意弟子，新中国本身 培养的第1 代雕塑家。1951年毕业后在华东文明 部艺术处工作1 年。1953年跟随刘开渠、萧传玖先生进京，参与中国人民英雄纪念碑浮雕的创作工作。这是中国雕塑史具有纪念意义的严重 项目，王卓予先生以他深厚、严谨的外型 能力与萧传玖先生共同承担起南昌起义、渡江的浮雕创作，并参与辛亥革命部分的浮雕创作工作。1977年又参加了《毛主席纪念堂》群雕的创作。
1957年王卓予先生回浙江美术学院雕塑系任教，与萧传玖等老1 辈雕塑家共同承担起雕塑系的教学重担 。1976年“四人帮”刚刚被粉碎，国家次序 初步回复。经过十年“文革”的浩劫，学校的教学次序 遭到彻底破坏，处于极其混乱的形态 ，在这类 情况下王卓予先生以极大地勇气、忘我 的奉献精神英勇 地肩负起恢复雕塑系正常教学次序 的重担 ，带领全系教师调整和建立各种规章制度、筹备教学设施、编写教学大纲等等。在王卓予先生的积极带领下，全系教师共同努力使雕塑系各项工作美满 就绪，终究 在1978年迎来了雕塑系文革后的第1 届先生 。
1978至1987年王卓予先生担任雕塑系主任。在掌管 雕塑系工作的十年中，他任劳任怨、勤勤恳恳、殚精竭虑，为雕塑系的发展做出了巨大的奉献。在教学上他主张严厉 基础训练，亲自联系并领导了1 些大规模的社会创作，如普陀山普济寺庙大殿佛像制造 、克拉玛依矿史浮雕、宁夏展览馆建筑浮雕等。通过这些实践大大丰富了教师的创作经验，促进教学质量的不断提高。从教的三十年中，他授课严肃认真，又不失和蔼可亲，在严谨的教学中能够充分关注先生 的个性发展。如今，他的先生 已遍及全国各大院校，成为教学、科研、创作的中坚力量。
王卓予先生在艺坛上辛苦 耕耘了四十余载，创作成果丰硕，代表作有《拼搏者》(获第六届全国美展优秀奖)、《春曲》、《陈毅像》、《聂耳像》、《戚继光像》、《冯雪峰像》和《晨读》等。他的作品具有朴素、敦厚、简逸而细腻逼真 、娟秀 俊爽的艺术风格。1979年王卓予先生跟随中国雕塑家代表团赴意大利、法国考察，回国后，他写下《意法游记》、《意大利的教堂艺术》等文章，还编撰出版了《外国城市雕塑选》，介绍国外城市雕塑建设的经验，对城市建设提供了无力 的参考意见，这些都为我国城市建设写下了浓重的1 笔。
