姚秦(1934.11—)广西合浦人。擅长油画。1955年毕业于四川美术学院油画专业。曾任报社美术编辑、记者，广西艺术学院美术系副主任、主任、教授。作品有《新画》、《备课》、《红瑶》、《雨晴》及西部风情油画系列。发表有《画》、《动态速写》、《苏派油画》及《速写的情势 和表现》、《生活·礼堂思维及摄影》、《关于艺术感觉》等。编有《世界风俗画选》。
